Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. When you use LyfeTender, we store the household data you create, including:

  • Chores, schedules, and member information
  • Rewards, point balances, and redemption history
  • Device information (device name and type) for push notification delivery

If you enable two-factor authentication (TOTP/MFA), authentication secrets are stored securely by our identity provider (AWS Cognito) and are not accessible to LyfeTender staff.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the LyfeTender service. This includes:

  • Operating your household and chore management features
  • Managing rewards, points, and redemptions within your household
  • Sending push notifications you've opted into (via Apple Push Notification service for iOS and Web Push for browsers)
  • Sending account-related emails (password resets, security alerts)

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. We use encryption in transit and at rest. Authentication credentials are managed by AWS Cognito. Push notification tokens are stored to deliver notifications to your devices.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service:

  • AWS for hosting, authentication, and data storage
  • Cloudflare for security and bot protection
  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for iOS push notifications

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile section of the app (available on both iOS and web). When you delete your account:

  • Your user account and login credentials are permanently removed
  • You are removed from all households you belong to
  • All push notification subscriptions and notification preferences are deleted
  • This action is immediate and cannot be undone

Cookies

LyfeTender uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication and user preferences only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
